Being Called by God

There is a call on your life that has followed you
through every season,
every valley,
every detour,
every moment you tried to shrink back
or blend in
or convince yourself that someone else
was better suited for the assignment.
Heaven has never changed its mind about you.
And the Spirit is whispering into your soul now:
“I chose you on purpose.
I called you by name.
I placed something in you
that cannot be silenced.”
Being called by God is not glamorous.
It is not always loud.
It is not always clear.
Sometimes it feels like a pull you can’t explain,
a fire you can’t extinguish,
a knowing you can’t shake.
You have felt that pull.
You have carried that fire.
You have lived with that knowing.
For the Lord says:
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.
Before you were born, I set you apart.” 
(Jeremiah 1:5)
Your calling is older than your fears.
Older than your insecurities.
Older than your mistakes.
Older than the opinions of people
who never saw you clearly.
Hear this in your spirit:
“I am awakening what I placed in you.
I am stirring the gifts that have been resting.
I am calling forth the voice you tried to quiet.
I am positioning you for what I prepared long ago.”
Being called by God does not mean you feel ready.
It means you are willing.
It means you trust Him more than your limitations.
It means you step even when your knees tremble.
You are stepping into a season
where the call will become clearer,
the path will become straighter,
the doors will open faster,
and the grace will meet you exactly where you stand.
And you will look back on this moment and say,
“God didn’t just call me —
He carried me into my calling.”
